An entertaining quiz, an addictive game, and a new way to test and improve your vocabulary!
The goal is to master "1000 Words Worth Knowing" – words selected by Merriam-Webster editors to challenge, intrigue, and contribute to a powerful vocabulary.
Quizzitive offers 10 difficulty levels, with quiz types from “Speed Drill” to “Name That Thing.” Master the words, beat your personal best, and see how your scores compare to the crowd.
The first two levels of the game are free. An in-app purchase unlocks the full game and turns off ads.
Pros and cons of Quizzitive – A Merriam-Webster Word Game app for iPhone and iPad
Quizzitive – A Merriam-Webster Word Game app good for
Great learning game for improving your vocabulary. Definitely would recommend buying it!
I was using it one day and always loved the word of the day component. And one day my app suggested this... I did and I am throughly pleased :)
This allows those of us who love word games a chance at seeing just how good we are. Its an unencumbered learning game. Good workout for the brain.
A quick game to to compete with myself and the masses is a great break!!!
Awesome game. I just wish you could replay levels youve already beat to really try to remember every word youve learned.
This app of quizzes in English Vocabulary is the best app so far in my collection of languages and applications of different languages. I want more contents within this application to increase my vocabulary in English. This app is mostly useful for students want to learn college subjects in English and want to earn a degree in college and university. Thanks for uploading this app.
Some bad moments
Second game it offered is not in the app but on a external website, opened by the app, where I can take a quiz to assess my likelihood of some day having dementia. Cant imagine any downside to that, right?
-> Uninstall.
Very fun concept but I blazed through the two free (and way too easy) levels in a few minutes, then found the unpleasant surprise: you have to buy the game to get to the more challenging levels.
Bummer. Design is good (name that thing section especially fun) but I dont pay for games.
Id be glad to look at ads instead.
Fun app, and I would actually pay for something like this. But $1.99 for just ten levels? No.
